Good Friday
Good
Friday, also known as Holy Friday, Black Friday, Great Friday,
is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion
of Jesus Christ. It is the Friday after Maundy Thursday, preceding Easter
Sunday. The Catholic Church treats Good Friday as a fast day. Under inclusion
of the evening of Maundy Thursday the Good Friday is the first day of the 3 day
easter-celebration. It represents the highest festival of the Christian year
and is celebrated in one single church service.
